On September 19, 2023 members of Inland Action met with Ted Alejandre, Superintendent of the San Bernardino County Schools. First elected in June 2014, the Superintendent began his third four-year term in January of 2023.
The County School District is focused on student success with an emphasis on early achievement in reading, which is a predictor for one’s life experience. There is a focus on college and career readiness, helping students to find their individual pathways to success. Students may participate in skills competitions to mock trial competitions. Digital learning is on the rise and the District is on the cutting edge. All of this is wrapped in an environment where health and wellness are a key part of the educational experience.
