Michael Lewin introduced Garner Holt, Founder and President of Garner Holt Productions. His facility is now the largest designer and builder of animatronics in the world. His work is in 34 countries on six continents for clients including Disney, Universal Studios, Mattel, Chuck E. Cheese, Lockheed-Martin, Coca-Cola, and many more. The group viewed two short videos that showed the history of his company, his current presence in the industry, and his foundation Garner Holt Education through Imagination.
Garner Holt Education through Imagination is inspired by the work of Garner Holt Productions Inc. Schools (elementary, middle, and high schools) who partner with them, provide the Makerspace on their campuses for a team of dedicated educators and industry professionals to provide world-class educational environments, programs, products, and resources that give students a strong foundation in creativity, innovation, technology and entrepreneurship. These programs create students who are college and career ready in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM).
Garner led the group on a tour of his facility explaining the process and the various responsibilities of each department to create animatronic figures.
