On July 18, 2023 Inland Action met with Josh Fryday, California’s Chief Service Officer, a Governor’s Cabinet position. Josh lead’s California Volunteers, an agency dedicated to engaging Californians in service, volunteerism, and civic action. In the coming years, California Volunteers will deploy, support, and mobilize tens of thousands of paid service members throughout the state. This will include College Corps, Youth Job Corps, California Climate Action Corps and Americorps. All of this work is intended to build connections and community and to create economic opportunities.
