Announcements: 1) G/M Business Interiors will be represented by Steve Easley, President. Scott Davis, V.P. of Client Services will serve as their alternate. 2) Bogh Engineering will be considered for membership. They will be represented by Russ Bogh. Inland Action has been asked to support the Southern California Regional Rail Authority’s (SCRRA)/Metrolink application to the Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program (TIRCP) for the purchase of nine new Tier IV locomotives. These locomotives provide a 70%-90% reduction of emission compared to Tier III locomotives.

Al Karnig who is serving on Mayor Carey’s San Bernardino Strategic Planning Group reported on the City Council meeting held on April 6, 2015. The roles and functions of the City Attorney, the Mayor, Common Council Members and the City Manager were discussed. A non-binding but symbolic Leadership Agreement adopting these defined roles was voted upon and passed.

Various state bills were discussed and Committees expressed interest on numerous issues. Committees were asked to meet and work on these and other state items in preparation for the Sacramento advocacy trip scheduled for May 19, 2015.
