Brightline West breaks ground, making history with high-speed rail

On April 22, 2024 Inland Action members Dr. Ray Wolfe and Otis Greer, both with the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority, traveled to Las Vegas to attend the groundbreaking for Brightline West’s high-speed rail system connecting Las Vegas to the Inland Empire. In attendance were U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who spoke about the the historic nature of the project, Congressman Pete Aguilar and Congresswoman Norma Torres.

The 218 mile system will be the greenest form of transportation in the world. Trains will be fully electric and capable of speeds of up to 200 miles per hour. This project be a watershed project for high-speed rain in our country. Inland Action is proud to support this important next step in our transportation network.
