The newly appointed Sheriff of San Bernardino County, Shannon Dicus, will speak with us along with members of his H.O.P.E. team to talk about progress being made with respect to homelessness in San Bernardino County.  The Homeless Outreach and Proactive Enforcement (H.O.P.E.) program is intended to ultimately reduce calls for service and other resources required to deal with the homeless population.  A community policing philosophy is used to link the homeless population with resources and service providers throughout the County, with the objective of stopping the revolving door of arrest, incarceration, and release regarding homeless related crime.  Join us to meet the new Sheriff and to learn more about addressing homeless issues in the County.
