Chair of the Day: Mike Burrows
Total acres burned in California forest fires hit an all-time high in 2018. The Airtanker base located at San Bernardino International Airport (SBIA) played a major role in battling those fires and protecting communities throughout the State. Leslie Casavan is the Airtanker Base Manager for the U.S. Forest Service located at SBIA, who will share information about resources operating out of our local community.
At the conclusion of the presentation, members are invited to tour the Airtanker base and see the DC 10 that is currently on site. Included is the opportunity to take a short tour of SBD Airport for a look at the new general aviation hangers, the UPS and FedEx locations, and the site of proposed East Gate project.
