Final Environmental Impact Report for Delta Conveyance Project

The Department of Water Resources has released the Final Environmental Impact Report for the Delta Conveyance Project. This is the culmination of an extensive environmental review process, including evaluations of 9 project alternatives (including the proposed project) and a No Project Alternative, which has led to more than 700 letters and 7,300 individual comments on what form the Delta Conveyance Project should take.

DWR has identified the Bethany Alignment as the preferred project alternative. It is the right sized project to protect California’s water security while minimizing impacts to the Delta ecology. Inland Action has long supported this critical project and acknowledges the importance of moving forward, as it is critical to ensuring California’s water security.
