
October 7, 2025: Inland Action met with Jodie Wingo, President & CEO of Community Health Association Inland Southern Region (CHAISR). A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, CHAISR supports 25 member organizations with over 130 clinical sites in the Inland Empire, focusing on advocacy, workforce development, quality improvement, and grant assistance. In 2024, the members served nearly 600,000 patients with approximately 1,648,902 patient visits. CHAISR priority areas Workforce Development, Expanding Access, Provider & Community Partner Education, Advocacy & Policy, Emergency Management, and Quality Improvement.
October 14, 2025: Inland Action heard from Dawn Rowe, 3rd District Supervisor and Chair of the San Bernardino Board of Supervisors. Rowe’s presentation focused on imminent rain and flooding, the High Desert Justice Center, impact to the county due to the federal shutdown as well as the importance of county cash reserves so that work can continue to move forward, and proposed Western Joshua Tree legislation.
October 21, 2025: Inland Action met onsite at Randall Lewis Second Story and Beyond with Wess Garcia, Director of the Rancho Cucamonga Public Library as our guide for the private tour. A 2009 assessment identified a need for hands-on activities for local residents and visitors leading to funding for the museum, which was built in 2016. The museum focuses on experiential learning by integrating literacy into exhibits that are connected to books. Supported by grants from NASA and San Bernardino County, the museum continues to engage with the community and innovate. (Group photo above)
