On June 2, 2020 San Bernardino County District Attorney Jason Anderson met with members of Inland Action via Zoom. Mr. Anderson gave an update on the DA’s caseload, the impacts of the court closures and how the justice system is operating in the new COVID-19 work environment.He discussed the challenges of getting speedy trials for pending cases when courts have been closed, and the complications of re-opening which will require new safety guidelines for jurors, judges, district attorneys, court personnel, attorneys and citizens appearing in court. A major challenge is finding ways to include the public as spectators at trials.
