On February 14, 2023 Inland Action met with San Bernardino County Sheriff Shannon Dicus and San Bernardino District Attorney Jason Anderson. The primary topic of conversation was retail theft which is a challenge facing businesses large and small. The District Attorney is using the approach of aggregating crimes to deal with the retail value number, allowing for the opportunity of charging perpetrators. In his comments the Sheriff talked about the need to be vigilant regarding legislation that makes it more difficult for law enforcement officers to do their job. The Sheriff and the DA meet regularly with City police chiefs in San Bernardino County to collaborate on enforcement efforts. Inland Action appreciates the depth of knowledge and accessibility of this two top County law and court officers.
