On September 27, 2022 Inland Action met at Esri with members of the Inland Empire Legislative Caucus. Caucus Chair Assemblyman James Ramos introduced his colleagues Senator Connie Leyva, Senator Rosalicie Ochoa Bogh and Asssemblyman Thurston “Smitty” Smith, who joined in a roundtable discussion centered on the challenges facing businesses in the current economy. Topics included “Burden of Inflation, Taxes and Regulations on Business” presented by Louis Goodwin, Fifth Third Bank; Challenges Facing Inland Empire Businesses” presented by Kristine Scott, Southern California Gas Co.; “Working with Business to Improve Access to Education” presented by President Tomas Morales, CSUSB; Business Opportunities through the Community Economic Resilience Fund” presented by Michelle Decker, Inland Empire Community Foundation and “Little Hoover Commission Initiatives and the California 1991 Realignment” presented by Commissioner Bill Emmerson.
