On January 30, 2024, members of Inland Action met with Jarrod McNaughton, CEO of the Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP). IEHP is a local initiative serving residents of Riverside and San Bernardino counties. This public entity was created by Riverside and San Bernardino Counties as a Joint Powers Agency (JPA) and became operational on Sept. 1, 1996.
IEHP’s governing board is made up of four County Supervisors (two from each County) and three appointed public members. They have over 4,000 employees and work with a $7B annual budget. Their total membership of 1,471,192 is predominantly from Medi-Cal but since January 2024 IEHP gained over 6,700 new members as they became a part the Covered California exchange.
Inland Action is proud to call IEHP a member organization. Their service to our region includes efforts to narrow the gap between a growing and aging population and primary care providers, a critical problem in serving two of the largest counties in the State.
