On September 20, 2022 Inland Action met with former Senator Jim Brulte, who is a Partner with California Strategies LLC. Mr. Brulte served in the State Assembly and State Senate from 1990 to 2004. His presentation to Inland Action members was entitled “Understanding Why the Electorate Is So Polarized”. Political parties are changing over time, with more people registering “decline to state”, creating a larger gap in the middle and more radical thinking on both sides. Presidential elections can create a realignment of American politics. Both parties are focused in ideology and philosophy. An attempt is made to balance presidential tickets to balance this.
