Re: Reappointment of Fran Inman to the California Transportation Commission
Dear Governor Newsom:
This letter is to urge your reappointment of Fran Inman to a new term as a member of the California Transportation Commission and is sent upon the unanimous vote of the Inland Action Board of Directors. Inland Action is a non-profit organization of business and community leaders dedicated to the economic and community betterment of the Inland Empire region of California.
Ms. Inman is a leader at the State and federal level in transportation issues and collaborative problem resolution, with unique and intimate knowledge of supply chain challenges. In addition to her relentless energy in pursuit of solutions to our transportation challenges, Fran has broad knowledge of the Southern California region. She has a deep understanding of the important role of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties in ensuring connectivity and coordination of Southern California transportation systems. She is truly a regional citizen who works with leaders throughout Southern California, the State of California and the nation to address our most challenging hurtles in supply chain systems.
In addition to her many leadership roles in the Southern California region, she is intimately familiar with issues of the Inland counties, through her membership in Inland Action, the Inland Empire Economic Partnership, and as a member of the University of Redlands Board of Trustees. Her contributions and leadership in the Inland area have helped set the course for the future of our region.
Fran has demonstrated her extensive knowledge of transportation funding mechanisms, system relationships, and innovative processes for building one of the most complex transportation systems in the nation. Her ability to bring diverse interests to the table and achieve consensus in this period of competing priorities and resources is impressive. Fran’s experience, dedication, and leadership make her an excellent candidate to continue her service on the Commission. On behalf of the Inland Action Board of Directors, I urge you to reappoint Fran Inman to the California Transportation Commission.
