RE: Support for Ontario International Airport’s Fiscal Year 2026 Congressionally Directed Spending Request

Dear Representative Torres,

I am writing to express our strong support for the Ontario International Airport’s (ONT) Fiscal Year 2026 Congressionally directed spending request. The Ontario International Airport International Arrivals Facility Modernization project will enhance the safety and security of the traveling public at this very important United States Port of Entry, along with addressing aging infrastructure, providing adequate facilities to satisfy current and future demand, and improving the passenger experience for all international travelers arriving at ONT.

Ontario International Airport, strategically located in the Inland Empire region of Southern California, is at the center of one of the fastest growing regions in the United States. Serving as a major hub for the logistics and air cargo industry, ONT has rapidly become one of the country’s fastest-growing airports. With over 7 million passengers in 2024, it continues to drive economic growth in the region.

The Ontario International Airport International Arrivals Facility Modernization project will upgrade existing facilities to improve passenger processing, expand baggage areas, enhance security measures and provide additional amenities for the traveling public. In addition to enhanced security measures, the public lobby will also be updated with additional seating, new Flight Information Displays Systems, vending machines, and updated signage for clear passenger and visitor wayfinding. These critical infrastructure upgrades will ensure ONT can provide a secure, efficient, world-class travel experience.

Ontario International Airport’s pivotal role in Southern California’s air transportation network and regional economic development cannot be overstated. We are delighted to offer our wholehearted support for this critical project, recognizing their importance for community project funding.

Sincerely,
Julie Michaels
