Re: Inland Southern California Narrative Project

Dear Mr. Loveridge:

Inland Action is pleased to provide support for a collective effort to develop a narrative for Inland Southern California to frame a vision for the region’s future. This is a timely and important undertaking. It is imperative that the leaders of this region determine their own fate by focusing on the assets and resources of our region, understand their importance to our future, and develop a plan for the economic and quality-of-life landscape that the region is to become.

The Center for Sustainable Suburban Development at the University of California, Riverside, would be a logical choice to lead this project, given its years of studying the social, economic, political and ecological conditions of the Inland California region. Inland Action also supports the use of a consulting firm in such an endeavor.

For over fifty years it has been Inland Action’s mission to be a catalyst for the economic well-being of the inland region of southern California. As such, we understand the importance of this project and will work with our partners toward its successful completion. Inland Action looks forward to partnering with the Monday Morning Group, UCR, the Counties of Riverside and San Bernardino, and other organizations to develop a positive narrative for our region.

Respectfully,
Deborah Barmack
President
