
February 17, 2026: Inland Action heard from Sam Hoelscher and Christina Solomon of Clark Construction and Edgemoor regarding Public-Private Partnerships (P3). Solomon provided an overview of P3s including the different types of structures (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, DBF, DBOM, DBFOM) with varying degrees of risk transfer between public and private parties. The presentation included several case studies including Garden Grove Civic Center, UCSF Sandler Neurosciences Center (photos included), and the Long Beach Courthouse and Civic Center.
February 24, 2026: Inland Action met with Dr. Diana Rodriguez, Chancellor of the San Bernardino Community College District (SBCCD). The presentation began with a video highlighting the district history and the growth to now serving over 30,000 students at Crafton Hills College and San Bernardino Valley College. Focus areas of learning for the community colleges include healthcare, emergency response, and skilled trades. SBCCD is committed to updating classrooms/labs for future workforce needs including logistics, healthcare, and AI integration.
