Announcements: 1) The Salvation Army will hold their 2023 Red Kettle kick off on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. at the Event Center at Bear Springs Resort Hotel, 27959 Highland Ave, Highland, CA. The Master of Ceremonies will be Wilfred “Bill” Lemann and the keynote speaker will be Pete Van Helden, CE, Stater Bros. 2) Staff announced that a special surprise is planned for the holiday party on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

Committee Chairs were notified by e-mail of the schedule for policy committee meetings. The meeting in December has been changed.

Based on conversations with our friends in Washington, D.C., it appears that we should be scheduling our visit there in early 2024, probably in February or March. The Sacramento trip will follow shortly after the D.C. trip. The D.C. congressional calendar is generally available in November, so we will be awaiting its availability.
Committees broke out into their respective groups to work on legislative items.
