Present:  Deborah Barmack, Carole Beswick, Tom Brickley, Erin Brinker, Ken Coate, Bill Easley, Dick Hart, Scott Hofferber, Lowell King, Pam Langford, Ed Lasak, Temetry Lindsey, Sue McKee, John Mirau, John Prentice, Susan Rice, Kristine Scott, Larry Sharp, Paul Shimoff, Shelli Stockton, Steve von Rajcs, Phil Waller A.J. Wilson and Ray Wolfe.

Announcement:  1) The luncheon program Decision Time Ahead will be held tomorrow at California State University, San Bernardino.  There are still seats available for this Inland Action sponsored event. 

Chris Carrillo, Deputy Chief of Staff, Supervisor Ramos and Jose Marquez, Director of Grants and Resource Development, The Community Foundation announced a new program called Give BIG San Bernardino County.  The program is a 24 hour online fundraising effort intended to benefit 150 non-profit organizations that serve San Bernardino County residents.  The web-a-thon will be held on May 8th, 2014 from 7a.m. to May 9th at 7a.m.  The County in partnership with the Community Foundation will encourage businesses, community leaders and volunteers to help reach a goal of $300,000 in new donations.  For more information contact Jose Marquez (951) 241-7777 or by e-mail at jmarquez@thecommunityfoundation.net

The Executive Committee recommended the written Travel Policy be brought to the membership as a motion for a vote.  The suggested policy was reviewed and discussed.

The group was given an update on the Business Coalition for Express Lanes.  Numerous companies have given their logo to add to the Coalition but more are needed.  Businesses have clout with the electeds and members were asked to consider adding their company name to the Coalition and pass the word to others.  Continued support will be solicited until the SANBAG board makes their planning decision on Express Lanes at their December 4th meeting.  

 

Carole Beswick and Ray Wolfe gave a report on the UCLA Transportation Summit, Smart Technologies Smart Policy.

 

The annual Mobility 21 conference was well attended and summarized by those that attended. 

 

Inland Action will hold a Strategic Planning session on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Redlands Country Club.  The event is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to noon.  A continental breakfast will be served from 8:00a.m. to 8:30a.m.  Please plan on attending.

 

A letter of support for the Relieve Traffic Coalition was discussed and will be sent.
