Minutes 

Present:  Dimitrios Alexiou, Carole Beswick, Tom Brickley, Erin Brinker, Ken Coate, Ron Griffin, Matthew Isaac, Mark Kaenel, Lowell King, Bill Lemann, Sue McKee, John Mirau, Beverly Powell, John Prentice, Kristine Scott, Larry Sharp, Paul Shimoff, Steve von Rajcs, Phil Waller, A.J. Wilson and Ray Wolfe.  

Announcements:   1) Washington, D.C. participants should send their notes regarding appointments to Carole as soon as possible.  2) There will be a Grand Opening Celebration for the George Brown Jr. Elementary School on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at 2525 North G Street, San Bernardino.  3) The University of Redlands Banta Center for Business, Ethics and Society will hold a panel discussion, The Pros and Cons of Hydraulic Fracking: What We Should Know on Monday, March 24, 2014 from 6:00p.m. to 7:45p.m.  Contact Vanessa Siliezar at 909-748-8769 to make a reservation for this free event. 4) The 2014 State of the Region Conference will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the Ontario Double Tree Inn.  For more information use the link provided  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2014-state-of-the-region-tickets-9868482898

Washington, D.C. participants discussed each of the appointments the group had on Tuesday, March 4 and Wednesday, March 5th.  Appointments scheduled for Monday, March 3, 2014 were canceled due to a snowstorm which shut down all federal government facilities.  Comments and perceptions on the trip were shared. 

The group was asked to consider and suggest other options or alternatives for a social event in Washington, D.C.
