Congressman Paul Cook will give us an update on his service in Washington, D.C.  Congressman Cook was elected to represent California’s 8th Congressional District in the House of Representatives in November 2012. He currently serves on the Armed Services and Natural Resources committees. The 8th District includes the high desert communities of San Bernardino County, as well as Mono and Inyo counties. Prior to his election to Congress, Col. Cook represented California’s 65th Assembly District for six years and served on the Yucca Valley Town Council. On December 7, 2020, he will be sworn into his newly elected position as First District Supervisor on the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors.

An infantry officer who served with distinction in the United States Marine Corps and a veteran of the Vietnam War, Col. Cook’s military career spanned twenty-six years. His actions in combat earned him a number of honors, including two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star Medal with a V for valor.
