Present: Deborah Barmack, Peter Barmack, Carole Beswick, Tom Brickley, Ken Coate, Dick Hart, Scott Hofferber, Fran Inman, Mark Kaenel, Al Karnig, Lowell King, Pam Langford, Sue McKee, John Mirau, Tom Nightingale, John Prentice, Susan Rice, Kristine Scott, Paul Shimoff, Steve von Rajcs, Phil Waller, Stan Weisser and Ray Wolfe.
Announcements: 1) A seminar entitled Affordable Housing, A Shortage Crisis will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at the Ce-Cert Building on the campus of UC Riverside. The free seminar will include panelists Steve PonTell, Supervisor Janice Rutherford and Ken Gutierrez. For more information or to register please use the supplied link http://research.ucr.edu/event/ 2)This year Inland Action will host a reception for legislators and other guests while in Washington, D.C. The event will take place at Potomac Partners in their Brownstone building. This venue is conveniently located two blocks from the Capitol Metro Station. Members will be asked to sponsor this event. 3) A new member lunch is planned for Friday, March 6, 2015 hosted by member Paul Shimoff.

Chairman Mark Kaenel asked committees about their potential federal issues. Each committee discussed possible areas of focus.
Education-Title 9 issues, continuation of Pell grants.
Transportation-Inability for Southern California to meet current EPA standards & need for federal freight element. Federal standards & need for long term transportation bill.
Environment-water issues, drought bill, further research on Desert Protection Act.
Economic Development-Committee will be looking for shared priorities with other regional organizations, maintain funding for tax exempt bonds, Ontario Airport.
Healthcare-Graduate Medical Education (GME) funding
To better identify the group as long standing, the Inland Action tag line was discussed. Currently the tag line reads” A non-partisan corporation of public spirited leaders who have joined together to be catalysts for the economic well-being of the Inland Empire region of California”. Suggestions to integrate the founding date were discussed.
M/S/P: The Inland Action tag line will now read “A non-partisan corporation of public spirited leaders who since 1962 have joined together to be catalysts for the economic well-being of the Inland Empire region of California”.
