Present: Dimitrios Alexiou, Deborah Barmack, Tom Brickley, Ray Gonzales, Richard Hart, Scott Hofferber, Mark Kaenel, Pam Langford, John Mirau, Lou Monville, Bev Powell, Kristine Scott, Paul Shimoff, Steve von Rajcs, Phil Waller, A.J. Wilson, and Ray Wolfe.
Announcements: 1) The Annual meeting will be continued to January 21, 2014. 2) The reservation forms for the Washington, D.C. trip (Sunday, March 2, 2014 thru Wednesday, March 5, 2014) have been e-mailed to the membership. Please complete and return the form by January 24, 2014 if you are planning on attending the trip. If you are making your own travel arrangements please e-mail a copy of your itinerary to sharrison@inlandactio.com. 3 A community Open House to learn more about the S. Milliken Ave. and N. Vineyard Ave. grade separation projects will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 5p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ontario Convention Center. Please call 888-707-0783 for more information. 4 A Completion Ceremony for the 215 Widening Project will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 10a.m. in San Bernardino near the Baseline St. Bridge. Please Rsvp by January 17, 2014 by calling 909-384-8188 or by e-mail to 215news@westboundcommunications.com 5 The IVDA and San Bernardino International Airport will celebrate the 1year anniversary of the Norton Air Force Base Museum and the 20 year closure of the Base on March 22, 2014.

A committee signup sheet was distributed to members present and an e-mail version will be sent to the entire membership.
The membership was asked to approve a letter to the Governor in support of reappointment of Fran Inman to the California Transportation Commission.

Mark Kaenel introduced Alton Garrett, Inland Empire Advisor to Senator Boxer.
Alton Garrett is the Senior Advisor for the Inland Empire to Senator Barbara Boxer. He advises the Senator on matters relative to Military and Veterans issues. In addition, he also advises on matters relating to the African American communities statewide. He serves the counties of Riverside and San Bernardino as their representative from Senator Boxer’s office in Riverside. In this capacity he frequently meets with constituents, local government representatives, monitor issues and community projects, and develops, designs and executes events for Senator Boxer when she travels in Southern California.
Mr. Garrett spoke of the six regional offices in California that assist the Senator with information and concerns of her constituents. They are located in Oakland, Fresno, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego and our local office in Riverside. He emphasized the importance of communicating issues of concern and desires to the regional offices so that they may be reviewed and communicated to the Senator. Mr. Garrett indicated the he is a conduit to the Senator for the Inland Empire.
The Senator is very much in favor of a Transportation Bill and hopes this can be accomplished soon. Finding revenues will be the biggest challenge. The Senator looks forward to the exploration of new funding options when they are identified. She is also supportive of TIFIA funding and express lanes and wrote a letter of support for the SR91 extension.
A meeting with the Senator while in the district was discussed. Requests can be made thru Mr. Garrett or the Riverside office.
The Inland Empire U.S. Customs office is a subject that will require more research. Long term solutions to the Salton Sea will require much cooperation and funding.
